Tři Dvory: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tři Dvory is located in a landscape shaped in the southeast by the last foothills of the Železné hory mountains and by the Elbe. Between its natural environment, local history and geological features, the town reveals a range of distinct facets.

Nature and Landscape

Eklogit u Tří Dvorů is a site of geological interest. It is registered with the Česká geologická služba; the rock consists of amphibolite and garnet-bearing eclogite. The surrounding area of Tři Dvory also includes Hořánck, a mountain, as well as the hills of Diviška, Konárovický vrch and Na Kuklách.

Things to Do

An asphalted and illuminated cycle path runs between Tři Dvory and Kolín and can be used by pedestrians, cyclists and inline skaters. The Eklogit u Tří Dvorů quarry is located on the northwestern edge of Tři Dvory; it is freely accessible. Tři Dvory also has an outdoor swimming pool.

History and Culture

Zámek Kačina Castle is located in the vicinity of Tři Dvory. The first written mention of the town dates from 1347. In spring 1690, Tři Dvory burned down completely; after the fire, the village was completely rebuilt closer to the Elbe. The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Tři Dvory dates from 1921.

The area's earlier history is also documented: ceramic fragments from the La Tène period, that is, from the 3rd to 2nd century BC, found in the Tři Dvory area are housed in the museum in Kolín.
