Culture and History
The Church of St. Vojtěch was rebuilt in its present form in 1717. It has a bell tower and a small cemetery surrounded by a wall. At the bottom of the staircase leading to the Church of St. Vojtěch, a statue of Saint Catherine dating from the second half of the 18th century adorns the entrance.
The originally Gothic fortress of Slatina was built by local landowners in the 13th century. Remains of ditches and ramparts have been preserved east of the manor house associated with Slatina Fortress. Historical finds in the Slatina area include graves from the time of the Roman Empire, pottery shards, bronze fibulae, silver and gold jewellery, glass beads, finely crafted jewellery, incense, and the remains of furnaces used for iron smelting.
The memorial to the victims of the First World War in Slatina stands on the main road next to the fire station.
