Dřínov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dřínov combines local history with village greenery and named destinations in the surrounding area. Its history ranges from the church and the fortress to a municipal project for revitalising the settlement’s green spaces.

History and Tradition

The repair of Dřínov Church began in 1902. An old masonry bell tower stood just a few steps from the church; it was demolished three years later, in 1905.

The fortress in Dřínov was associated with a knightly family known as the Lords of Dřínov. The fields associated with Jan Poplužan are still known today as Poplužanská pole. The patriotic charitable association Baráčníci Jana Poplužana was founded in Dřínov in 1937 to preserve old Bohemian customs, manners and traditions.

Nature

Dřínov’s pear orchard was included in a municipal project to revitalise the settlement’s green spaces. As part of the greenery project in Dřínov, fruit trees and ornamental trees were planted. Along the new path to Velký les, a total of 63 fruit trees and other woody plants were planted in April 2025.

There are hammocks and a pavilion in Dřínov’s pear orchard.

Village Square

The Dřínov war memorial from the First World War is located in a park on the village square. Dřínov has a war memorial with a commemorative plaque.
