Paběnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Paběnice is characterised by a distinctive village church, a gorge-like stream valley and a landscape that invites visitors to walk through forests and across slopes. At the same time, Kutná Hora lies 16 km southeast of Paběnice. Its historic centre, along with St. Barbara’s Church there and the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady in Sedlec, has been on the World Heritage List since 1995.

Culture and History

The Church of St. James is a defining landmark of Paběnice and has a preserved cemetery boundary wall. The Baroque building has a single nave and a polygonal presbytery.

Viktorova vila is associated with an event that took place on 20 December 1957: the Archbishop of Prague Josef Beran and Bishops Karel Skoupý and Josef Hlouch were accommodated there. They were probably kept there under the supervision of the III Administration of the SNB.

The Paběnický Stream has a steep gradient and flows through a gorge-like valley. The slopes on both sides of the Paběnický Stream are covered with hornbeams, hazel bushes and coniferous forests; in places, they form picturesque corners. The noble crayfish has reappeared in the Paběnický Stream in recent years.

The Na Skále hill [Zbýšov-Krchlebská Lhota] is located in the vicinity of Paběnice, as is Janovický kopec hill [Červené Janovice]. Ostojovka Mountain [Ledeč nad Sázavou-Souboř] is located in the area around Paběnice. The wider regional area also includes Krkanka Mountain and Kačina Chateau.
