Olovnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The mill in Olovnice is the oldest building in the village. The year 1561 and a stone slab bearing the coat of arms of the Zejdlic family, depicting three carp arranged one above the other, can be found on the mill. A memorial plaque on the mill commemorates the fact that the Czech physician MUDr. Erazim Vlasák was born there in 1863.
Culture and Local History
A replacement chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk was built in 1992 in its original form at a new location in the centre of Olovnice. The original square chapel with a small bell tower dated from 1751. The chapel bell in Olovnice was recast at the Dytrych family workshop in Brodek u Přerova.
The monument to Josef Jungmann is registered as a cultural monument under number 553. It was restored in 1993 by the academic sculptor Petr Váňa and stands along the road leading from the central crossroads of Olovnice to the railway station.
Water and Cycle Paths
The Knovízský stream flows through Olovnice. Olovnice also has two cycle paths used by local residents and cyclists from the surrounding region.
Transport Connections and Former Brewery
Olovnice has a railway stop on the Kralupy nad Vltavou–Velvary line. The brewery in Olovnice ceased operations in 1950.
