Kozomín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The cadastral area of Kozomín is largely forest-free, predominantly characterized by fields and interspersed with numerous copses. The Černávka stream rises in Kozomín, while the Postřižínský potok flows through Kozomín.

History

U Křížku commemorates a former plague burial site where a large wooden cross was erected in 1756. The U Křížku memorial site was formerly called “Na hrobích” and is documented in surviving parish records from Chvatěruby.

Culture

The column with the sculptural group of the Most Holy Trinity in Kozomín is crowned by a stylized Staroboleslavské Palladium and dates from the period after 1726. It is flanked by statues of Saint Francis Xavier and Saint Roch; both saints appear at similar monuments as patrons invoked in times of danger from plague.

Kozomín’s Dřevěná zvonička is a wooden bell tower made from an angularly hewn beam on a concrete base with a conical roof. The original bell of Kozomín’s Dřevěná zvonička dates from 1842 and is kept at the municipal office; a copy is located at the site. Kozomín’s Dřevěná zvonička has been listed as a cultural monument since 2006.

The village pond in Kozomín belongs to the Vltava 2 M fishing district.
