Kolín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bartolomějské Hill is home to a richly ornamented ossuary and the former parish school building with an interactive exhibition. The bell tower houses the church treasury and a lapidarium and offers views of Kolín city centre. Green parks invite visitors to take walks and relax by a herb garden and a rose garden.

Culture

The Veigertovský House features an exhibition in its Gothic cellars on the historical and architectural development of the building from the 13th to the 21st century. It includes numerous archaeological finds from 2014–2015, as well as a model illustrating the appearance of the house at the beginning of the 19th century. Concerts, occasional prayers and memorial services commemorating the victims of the Holocaust are held in Kolín Synagogue, dating from 1422.

Nature and Activities

Borky Forest Park offers opportunities for walking, cycling and inline skating along the flat banks of the Elbe. The easy terrain in Kolín is also suitable for recreational running.

Vodní svět Kolín offers an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, sports facilities, wellness services and a swimming school. The Kolínská řepařská drážka features excursion trains, a museum exhibition about beet railways and a children's park. As a 4.5 km narrow-gauge railway for passenger transport, it runs from Kolín to Býchory railway station; the train journey takes approximately 50 minutes.

The Školka via ferrata in Kolín is a secured climbing route rated difficulty level B and measuring 35 m in length.
