Kamenný Most: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kamenný Most lies in the valley of the approximately 25-kilometre-long Knovízský potok, which flows towards Kralupy nad Vltavou and subsequently empties into the Vltava.

Nature

The cadastral area of Kamenný Most consists of gently rolling countryside that slopes down towards the valley of the Knovízský potok. The stream crosses the area approximately from west to east.

U Pískoven [Černuc-Nabdín] is a hill in the vicinity of Kamenný Most. U pěšinky [Hobšovice] is a hill in the immediate surroundings. Střelecký ostrov is an island in the wider regional area around Kamenný Most. Velké Benátky is also an island in the wider regional area around Kamenný Most.

Culture

The Kamenný Most menhir is an approximately one-metre-high, upright stone made of iron-bearing sandstone. It is located about one kilometre west of the village at a place called “U kamene”.

Zámek Ostrov is a chateau in the vicinity of Kamenný Most. The wider regional area also contains Stará kanalizační čistírna Praha-Bubeneč, a museum; Letohrádek královny Anny, a chateau; and Galerie Rudolfinum, a museum.

History

The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Kamenný Most was unveiled on the village green in July 1923 and is still located there today.

In the second half of the 19th century, apples and pears, and especially the Dolanka plum, were cultivated in Kamenný Most.
