Jeneč: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the historic center of Jeneč, a Baroque agricultural courtyard complex at the intersection of two roads, which forms an elongated village square, defines the character of the village. Jeneč is located on the western outskirts of Prague along the R6 road from Prague to Karlovy Vary.

Village Character and Buildings

The agricultural courtyard complex on Jeneč’s village square, house number 8, is listed under state heritage register number 16257/2-2253. It comprises two administrative buildings, a utility building, and a niche chapel. This Baroque niche chapel, featuring a relief of the Descent from the Cross, stands in the eastern part of the village square, which is characterized by tall trees.

The former post station is also part of the historic building stock. It is a detached two-storey building with a rectangular floor plan and a pentagonal façade divided by six pilasters with composite capitals. The wall of Jeneč’s bell tower is adorned with a 2.5-meter-high cast-iron cross featuring a colorfully designed figure of Christ.

Events

Jenečské posvícení 2026 is scheduled for September 18, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. on September 19, 2026. The program includes a church fair and entertainment on a stage.

Transport

Railway lines No. 120 from Prague via Kladno to Rakovník and No. 121 from Hostivice via Jeneč, Podlešín, and Slaný pass through Jeneč. Bus services connect Jeneč with the surrounding municipalities as well as with Prague, Kladno, and Rakovník.
