Březová-Oleško: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The V hladomoří area includes Březová, Oleško and Vrané nad Vltavou. Its protected features include continental summer-green shrublands, Tilio-Acerion forests on slopes, screes and in ravines, Pannonian rocky grasslands, chasmophytic vegetation of siliceous rocky slopes, and Galio-Carpinetum oak-hornbeam forests.

The presence of the great crested newt (Triturus cristatus) was recorded in the cadastral area of Oleško u Zvole. The Orlík Viewpoint offers views of the town of Davle, a historic railway bridge and the Vltava River.

Getting Around

A red hiking trail connects the railway station in Vrané nad Vltavou with the railway station in Davle and runs through Oleško along Vltavská Street and the Nad Tunelem path.

The route from Davle via Libřice and Oleško to Vrané nad Vltavou passes through a deciduous forest and then mostly through a holiday settlement in Oleško.

Experiences

The Olešská formanská výzva 2026 features an educational nature trail with field tasks and a diary for children. The route can be completed running or walking at your own pace.

The local nature conservation group is preparing another edition of the Olešská formanská výzva.

Culture and History

The Japonská zahrada Oleško was founded by the Wiesner couple, and construction began in 1994. Oleško is also home to a restored chapel.

A historic carter’s road once ran through Oleško and connected the Vltava via Oleško.
