Ždánice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Above the municipality of Ždánice lies a hill with a monument known locally as Panák.

Culture and History

The Na Hradišťatech site is located on a prominent spur of land between Oleška and Ždánice. It is a valuable archaeological site and a visually dominant feature of the terrain. Hradiště Na Hradišťatech is registered as a cultural monument under ÚSKP number 33563/2-909.

Kostel sv. Havla is registered in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic under number 17915/2–888. The church stands west of Ždánice in the elevated location known as “Na Poušti”.

At the northwestern edge of Ždánice, Kaplička Panny Marie stands at a crossroads below Kostel sv. Havla. The niche chapel dates from the mid-18th century and is marked on the maps of the First Military Survey from 1764–1767.

Čertova brázda connects the birthplace of Saint Procopius with Sázavský klášter and is associated with a legend about Saint Procopius. During the Baroque period, it served as a pilgrimage route between Sázavský klášter and Chotouň, the birthplace of Saint Procopius. This clearly recognizable, 21-kilometre-long system of hollows, ditches and hollow ways lies between Sázava and Chotouň.

The section of the Středočeská ovocná stezka near Ždánice has five stops with interactive information panels and is aimed at children, families and schools.

Events

An accompanying programme for the whole family was planned for the first edition of the extreme cross-country race KILÁK NA PANÁK. The extreme cross-country race KILÁK NA PANÁK was scheduled for 6 September 2025 above the municipality of Ždánice in the Kolín District.
