Drevníky: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Archaeological finds show that Drevníky was a settlement and colonisation centre of the Knovíz culture in the 6th century BC.

Culture and history

Drevníky is home to the Chapel of Saint Wenceslas. No regular religious services are held in the chapel. Next to the chapel stands a stone memorial to the soldiers from Drevníky and Slovanská Lhota who fell in the First World War.

The first written mention of Drevníky dates from 1348; at that time, the village of “Dřevník” was recorded in the archbishop’s domain of Příbram.

Landscape and water

Drevníky is located about 3 km west of the Slapy Reservoir. In the vicinity of Drevníky, the Slapy Reservoir offers opportunities for swimming, water sports, beach recreation, viewpoints and boat trips.

The Lípa u Bandora memorial tree is located in the vicinity of Drevníky; there are seats there with a view of the picturesque rural landscape. Picturesque forests lie near Drevníky and are considered a renowned paradise for mushroom picking. A memorial tree stands in the village square of Drevníky.

Routes

The Hříměždice–Homole–Hranice–Strž tourist route runs through the municipality of Drevníky.

On 6 August 2026, traffic on road III/10224 in Milina was restricted due to a sunken culvert.
