Landscape and Nature
North of Chabeřice lies Jordán Hill, which is 476 metres high. According to local tradition, it received its name during the Hussite period. The Jordán stream flows through Chabeřice and formerly fed three ponds.
The Chabeřice Rocks are a natural locality with thermophilous plants. Protected herbs grow at this natural site above the railway line between Zruč nad Sázavou and Chabeřice.
Nivní louka Sázavy u Chabeřic is an undeveloped meander of the Sázava valued by ornithologists. The occurrence of the water rail (Rallus aquaticus) can be observed in Nivní louka Sázavy u Chabeřic.
Paths and Water
Marked cycle route No. 019 runs through Chabeřice and Holšice. In the Chabeřice area, it follows the Sázava.
The Chabeřice Mill is a public recreational facility in the Chabeřice area. A former mill in Chabeřice now serves as a recreation centre on the Sázava between Zruč nad Sázavou and Chabeřice, below the railway line. There is a bathing area on the Sázava below the railway line between Zruč nad Sázavou and Chabeřice.
The Zruč route to the Babka observation tower has a turn-off to a natural viewpoint near the Chabeřice Rocks.
Culture and Local History
East of the village, on the road to Zruč nad Sázavou between two lime trees, stands the niche chapel of the Holy Trinity. It dates from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Memorial lime trees stand at the U Ovčína crossroads and by the Chapel of the Holy Trinity in the direction of Zruč nad Sázavou.
A stone bell tower stands in the village square of Chabeřice. The bell in the stone bell tower dates from 1737. The bell was confiscated during the First World War and replaced in the 1920s.
A fortress known as Jedlina presumably formed the basis of Chabeřice.
Other Points of Interest
Next to the railway station on the line towards Zruč nad Sázavou and Kácov is an airfield for ultralight aircraft. An annual air show was held at the ultralight airfield.
