Jušići: Apartments and Holiday Homes

The official cycling route “Saka noć ima svoju moć” (Route 118) passes through Jušići. As a circular route, it is 32 kilometres long, starts and ends in Permani, and is considered suitable for MTB or trekking bikes. An official Matuljicious schedule lists the cycling tour “Uz Rapalsku granicu” in connection with Jušići. The same official schedule also lists a cycling tour in Jušići entitled “Uz Rapalsku granicu”.

Nature

In the regional context of Jušići lies Lisina, a predominantly forested protected landscape in the Ćićarija Mountains, bordering Učka Nature Park.

Culture and History

Vlahov Breg is one of the hamlet groups of Jušići; it originated in the early modern period. In the 19th century, Jušići became more important when the settlement gained access to the main routes in this part of Istria.

For 2026, the carnival programme at Dom Jušići includes a dance on “Pusni Monday” as well as a children’s Reduta with live music. At a Vlahov Breg–Korensko bell-ringers’ gathering in Jušići, the making of bells and carnival music were part of the programme, along with savoury and sweet dishes at the Pul Babića tavern. Jušići is also home to the Crkvica Gospe od Zdravlja.

Local Flavours

In the municipality of Matulji, Matuljicious Bike & Taste combines interpretive cycling with local landscapes, cultural heritage, local specialities and tastings at producers’ premises. Matulji is connected with themed walking and cycling tours focusing on local history, as well as with local cuisine, milkmaid routes and traditional bell-ringers’ trails.
