Hikes at Morne Anglais

The trail can be very muddy. The path to the summit is easy to identify, but its entrance is not. A guide is recommended. Check the trail orientation before your hike, especially given the unclear entrance.

A ten-minute walk from the parking lot leads to a viewing platform. A hot spring flows across the path to the falls; visitors can swim in the smaller waterfall.

A 45-minute easy-to-moderate hike through the rainforest of Morne Trois Pitons National Park leads to Middleham Falls. The cascade is 200 feet high. The pool below the falls is suitable for swimming, though it is somewhat cool.

Freshwater Lake is Dominica’s largest lake. From there, the moderate, 1¼-mile trail to Boeri Lake begins; the lake sits at 2,800 feet and covers about four acres. Titou Gorge offers a different kind of nature experience: a short swim leads from the foot of a waterfall through several natural chambers and pools. High rock walls, roofed by intertwined trees, define this passage.
