Culture
The oldest village monument in K’umisi is Sameba Church from the 18th century, which was built on the ruins of a 7th-century church. The present-day version of Sameba Church was completed in 1996 and includes a bell tower, monastery buildings, and painted interiors. The church contains the tombs of the noble Palavandishvili and Orbeliani families.
K’umisi is also home to Saint George Church, dating from the 17th to the 18th century.
