Culture

Construction of the Parroquia Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles began in 1684 to replace an earlier 13th-century church. The church is predominantly Baroque; its transept and presbytery are 19th-century extensions in the Neoclassical style. The dome was designed in 1799 and built in 1828.

The Baños Árabes de Torres-Torres comprise three parallel vaulted rooms traditionally referred to as the cold, warm and hot rooms. Star-shaped skylights with a truncated-pyramidal cross-section illuminated the complex at the springing of the vaults, on the intrados side. In 1938, the Baños Árabes were declared a National Monument.

The complex also includes the Cisterna. It consists of two barrel-vaulted rooms separated by a wall with three round arches. The Cisterna served to supply the baths and the population with water.

Landscape

The Castillo de Torres-Torres dominates the horizon from a hilltop. The landscape around Torres-Torres includes irrigated orange groves, dry-farmed almond, carob and olive groves, as well as mountainous terrain with pines and scrubland.
