Olocau brings Iberian history to life at several specific sites. Puntal dels Llops was an Iberian stronghold used to defend and monitor the Edetan territory and was inhabited between the 5th and 2nd centuries BC. Its remains include a wall, a watchtower and rooms opening onto a central street.

Admission to Puntal dels Llops is free and the site is open year-round; groups must apply for a permit from Olocau Town Hall. Free guided tours are offered there year-round from Wednesday to Sunday by prior arrangement. Casa de la Senyoria has been restored for visits and houses the Tourist Information Office as well as the museographic collection of Puntal dels Llops.

The monumental complex of Casa de la Senyoria and Torre de Pardines was classified as a Site of Cultural Interest in 2001. At Castell del Real de Vilaragut, the base of the tower, cisterns and sections of the well-preserved walls are visible. The Olocau branch of the Camino del Cid is included in the Route of the Conquest of Valencia.

On walks through the town centre, you can discover traditional Valencian houses with retable ceramics, doorways, under-balconies, wooden gates and wrought-iron balconies. Lintels, plinths and protective stones made of cut stone can also be seen there. Iberfesta Olocau has been held as a cultural event with an Iberian theme since 2013, explaining the final moments of Puntal dels Llops through various theatrical scenes.

Nature

The Ruta Geológica de Olocau is an 8 km circular route with 170 metres of elevation gain and a high level of difficulty; there is also a shorter variant. The Ruta de les Macollades is 5.60 km long and has 40 metres of elevation gain. The Ruta accesible a la Fuente de la Salud is a 300-metre-long accessible path with very little elevation gain.

The Ruta de les Macollades passes through four clusters of centuries-old carob trees in Olocau. The Ruta Pedralvilla runs through agricultural land with olive and carob trees, including several centuries-old specimens. Townscape and Water Management

Balsa de l’Amara is a former washhouse in Olocau and now serves as an irrigation reservoir for the agricultural area. Noria dels Simeons is a mule-powered waterwheel that was used to irrigate the nearby fields until the end of the 19th century.
