Discover Miramar: Beach, Trails and Festivals

Miramar Beach is the municipality’s main tourist attraction: approximately 50 m wide, 1.3 km long and made of fine sand. From the Passeig Marítim on Playa de Miramar, in the first row of buildings by the beach, you can see the Mediterranean Sea to the east, Montgó to the south, Gandia’s port and Cullera’s lighthouse to the north, and the mountains of La Safor and the fertile orange groves at their foot to the west.

Nature and Trails

The Sendero Azul Camí Sequia Mare is an almost 3,000 m long circular trail that begins at the tourist office on the beach. It has been adapted for people with reduced mobility and features shaded resting areas, signposting and several information panels. The Sender de la Séquia Mare allows visitors to observe Miramar’s typical Huerta landscape.

Miramar can be reached by bicycle via a network of cycle paths and rural roads connecting the municipality with Gandia, Daimús, Guardamar de la Safor, Bellreguard, Piles, Alqueria de la Comtessa and Oliva.

Leisure

Miramar’s pump track is open around the clock every day of the year; in 2025, it opened as a new skate track at the northern entrance to the industrial area. There are benches and picnic tables at the pump track.

Parc del Riuet has sports courts and a large stage for concerts and live music. The Parc dels Somnis recreational area has five barbecue grills and five picnic tables for spending time outdoors. Its children’s playground has wooden play equipment, swings, a slide and a zip line.

Piscina Municipal is a 1,500 m² outdoor semi-Olympic sports facility at Esportiu El Molí. A bathing facility enables people with reduced mobility to swim safely with assistance from municipal staff, an amphibious wheelchair and water crutches.

Culture and Festivals

Iglesia de San Andrés is an 18th-century Baroque building constructed above the original church from 1535. Miramar’s historic, irregularly laid-out street network includes Iglesia, Trapig and Raconet squares, as well as Mayor and Abadía streets.

Parc de Llevant is one of Miramar’s attractions featuring a sundial. The municipality’s leisure programme includes sporting activities, evening musical performances, exhibitions, traditional markets and open-air cinema.

In Miramar, the Fira de Sant Andreu takes place around 30 November as part of the festival of the municipality’s patron saint. The three-day Fira includes a gastronomic fair and theatrical tours. The Jornades Gastronòmiques de Miramar take place every March and showcase polp farcit and coca borratxa.
