Nature

At 23.75 kilometres, the section of the Camino de Santiago Francés from Pamplona to Puente la Reina is a moderately difficult, linear hiking route. This gives rise to three clearly distinguishable features for planning the day: the total distance, the continuous route and the steady ascent to Zariquiegui. The path, fields and views create different impressions of the same pilgrimage section.

From Zariquiegui, there are sweeping views across the Pamplona Basin and the city of Pamplona. Together with its location on the northern slope of the Sierra del Perdón, this creates a contrast between the open view across the basin and the closer surroundings shaped by the path and wind turbines.

Culture
