The Ermita de la Ascensión in the settlement of Santasensio was built between the 12th and 13th centuries and is a late Romanesque chapel in transition to the Gothic style.

Inside, it has a semicircular apse, while outside it has a polygonal apse; this design is considered unique in Riojan art.

The Ermita de la Ascensión preserves frescoes depicting the Last Supper and the Epiphany. Four Benedictine abbots are depicted beside the windows.

The Ermita del Ángel is an example of vernacular architecture featuring timber framing and masonry. It is located approximately half a kilometre from the town centre and near an old ice house.
