Valdemierque: Culture, History and Events

On 27 December 2025, Valdemierque was included in the provincial Belenes Animados programme, which featured a live nativity scene. A second event focuses on running: the XVIII Carrera Campestre de Valdemierque was a 10-kilometre cross-country race held on 22 August 2026, starting at 7:15 p.m. at the old washing places. History

Remains of former tungsten mining sites have been preserved in Valdemierque. These remains belong to an earlier period of the town’s history. In 2018, Valdemierque celebrated patronal festivals in honour of Saint Roch. At the entrance to Valdemierque stands a sculpture dedicated to Saint Roch. It represents the four seasons and depicts motifs from agriculture, livestock farming and blacksmithing.
