Pereña de la Ribera – Duero Canyon, Vineyards and Culture

From the viewpoint at the Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Castillo, the meanders of the Duero can be seen in a canyon cut 400 metres deep into the landscape. The circular hike from Pereña de la Ribera to Pozo Airón and back is 6 kilometres long and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Stage 35 of the GR 14 from Pereña de la Ribera to Masueco is 9.6 kilometres long and takes 2 hours and 50 minutes.

The trip to Pozo de los Humos initially takes place by car, followed by a walk on the final section. For cyclists, the Camino del Puente Nuevo mountain-bike route crosses the Rivera via the three-arched stone Puente Nuevo bridge and then returns to Pereña along gently ascending paths.
