Discover Santa Cruz de la Salceda
The Museo de los Aromas in Santa Cruz de la Salceda is Europe's first and only museum dedicated to the world of aromas and the sense of smell. It houses a collection of 92 aromas, including wine, citrus, aromatherapy, perfume, coffee and oil aromas. The museum is designed like a house with various rooms: visitors test their ability to identify aromas and learn about their origins and uses. If support needs are communicated in advance, the Museo de los Aromas is accessible with few barriers; there is also an audioguide in several languages.
Culture
The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, dating from the 17th century, is part of the town's history. Santa Cruz de la Salceda has medieval origins and was a settlement of the Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Montejo. In May 1302, King Ferdinand IV granted the town as a fief to the knight Fernán Ruiz de Amaya.
The Mirador de la Cruz is a Humilladero, a wayside shrine built at one of the highest points in the municipality at the beginning of the 17th century. The traditional laundry of Santa Cruz de la Salceda consists of a covered basin and was restored as a reminder of the women's hard work.
The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Tamarón is one of Santa Cruz de la Salceda's monuments and places of interest. The hermitages of Virgen de Tamarón and Virgen de Gracia are also cultural attractions. The festivities in honour of the Virgen de Tamarón take place on the first weekend of July with the Traída de Nuestra Señora and end on the second weekend of July with the Llevada de Nuestra Señora la Virgen de Tamarón.

Nature
Santa Cruz de la Salceda is located in the Ribera del Duero, is flat and surrounded by vineyards and dehesas; walks lead over low hills with panoramic views. Alongside the historic sites, the focus is also on landscapes that can be explored along different routes.
The Sendero de los Valles, PRC-BU 168, is a route connecting Santa Cruz de la Salceda and Vadocondes. Walks over low hills and a route between two towns can be considered different route themes.
The themes place different emphasis on culture and local history, exploration of aromas, the landscape of the Ribera del Duero and the connection between two towns, each standing independently alongside the others. This allows for an open approach to planning the day's activities.
