Villarejo del Valle is located in the Valle del Tiétar and the Barranco de las Cinco Villas, at the foot of Torozo and the Riscos de Villarejo, at an altitude of 825 metres. The municipality is one of the municipalities in the Sierra de Gredos Regional Park.

Culture and Local History
The Iglesia de San Bartolomé Apóstol in Villarejo del Valle dates from the 15th century and was built in the Isabelline Gothic style. Its interior contains Baroque altarpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries. The surroundings of the church are highlighted as an example of traditional architecture in the Barranco de las Cinco Villas.
The Ermita de San Antón is a small masonry building with a barrel vault that may date from the 17th century; inside, there is an altar made of Talavera ceramics. The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Gracia is dedicated to the patron saint of Villarejo del Valle. It is built from granite blocks and has a covered, symmetrical and well-proportioned façade.
The Vivienda del músico López Álmagro is associated with the composer and harmonium professor López Álmagro, who spent the final years of his life in Villarejo del Valle. The Rollo de Jurisdicción Villarejo del Valle stands next to a fountain dating from 1837 and has three heads at its top.
The Monumento al Arriero is a wrought-iron monument on the wall of the Plaza de España. It honours the local carriers, a profession that was widespread in the history of the municipality.
Festivals and the Annual Calendar
On 17 January, as part of the San Antón festival, pets are brought to the Ermita de San Antón to ask for the saint's blessing. San Bartolo is celebrated on 24 August with bull running and a verbena. During Holy Week, Los Romances de Lope de Vega are sung in Villarejo del Valle; the traditional game Las Caras is also played.
The road over the Puerto del Pico has been used since ancient times to connect the two plateaus.
Water
The natural swimming pool in Villarejo del Valle is considered a bathing option for hot summer days. It is not listed in the bathing water register of Castilla y León.
