Perillo combines coastal experiences, distinctive architecture and regional traditions to create a varied travel experience. Days can be divided between the modernist mansion of Rialeda, literary themes, the beach and the early-November market event in Perillo. At Santa Cristina Beach, the Club de Regatas, the Paseo marítimo and green spaces are the main attractions; Rialeda, Santa Leocadia de Perillo and several museums add a cultural dimension.

Holiday apartment in Perillo between coast and culture

Rialeda is a modernist mansion built in the 20th century by the architect Rafael González Villar. For culture enthusiasts, Rialeda in Perillo offers several specific points of interest, including its period of construction, various architectural details and its garden trees. The building has a rectangular floor plan and two storeys. Secessionist elements include pointed arches and floral motifs. The garden surrounding Rialeda contains a Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara) and lush lime trees (Tilia cordata). Alongside the architectural details, the garden trees add a natural accent around the modernist mansion.

Since 1998, Rialeda has housed the Biblioteca Central and serves as the headquarters of Oleiros's municipal library network. At the Biblioteca Central Rialeda in Perillo, works from various literary genres, especially contemporary prose, are discussed. In this way, the venue combines architectural impressions with literary themes.

Santa Leocadia de Perillo is a Neoclassical church dating from the 12th century. It has a main bell from the 18th century and decorated wooden doors.

Beach, Paseo marítimo and rowing

The Club de Regatas de Perillo trains at Santa Cristina Beach. Visitors can take up rowing there or prepare for competitions. A broad Paseo marítimo runs along Santa Cristina Beach and connects it with dining, shopping and leisure options as well as green spaces, including Parque José Martí.

The area around Perillo therefore includes beaches, museums and the Villa Isabel palace. The area around Perillo also includes the Villa Isabel palace, the Museo Arqueológico e Histórico Castillo de San Antón, Playa Perillo, Playa de Bastiagueiro, Playa de Oza, Playa Santa Cruz de Oleiros, the Taller Galería de Arte de Vanessa Lodeiro and the Museo Histórico Militar da Coruña.

Honey Fair at the Municipal Market

Those wishing to include the Honey Fair in their plans can base their travel planning on the early-November date and the Mercado Municipal de Perillo. An early-November Honey Fair featuring beekeeping products takes place at the Mercado Municipal de Perillo. Beekeepers, cheese producers, confectionery producers and artisans come together at the Honey Fair; there is also music, games and pulperías.
