Culture and History
The Monastery of San Salvador de Bergondo was founded in Bergondo at the end of the 12th century by Benedictine monks.
Pazo de Mariñán combines two explicitly stated functions: the building serves as a museum and as an exhibition space for the provincial art collection. It opens onto the Ría de Betanzos, which is formed by the Río Mandeo. Thus, the art collection and the view of a body of water whose formation is attributed to the Río Mandeo are found in the same place.
