The parish church of San Miguel is a rectangular building measuring 29 by 14 metres, with a polygonal apse and a nave covered by a barrel vault. The lower part of the tower of San Miguel Church is used as a sacristy.
The church also includes a pentagonal foundation, a ribbed star vault, the coat of arms of Bishop Gutiérrez de Vargas Carvajal and a Renaissance altarpiece depicting Saint Michael. The annual San Miguel patron-saint festivities take place during the week of 29 September; the main days are 29 and 30 September.
The San Miguel festivities include religious events with dancers carrying sticks and ribbons, musical performances, sporting events and traditional bullfighting events in the La Vera style.
