Routes

The Route de les esglésies romàniques is a circular route. It is 6.4 kilometres long. From La Tallada, it passes through Marenyà and Tor before returning to La Tallada. It is designated as an easy hiking route.

The plain between La Tallada and the Ter forms a mosaic of different fruit-tree crops. The Illa de Canet is an example of riparian woodland. It also represents the typical riverbanks of the lower Ter. The Illa de Canet is designated as a nature reserve for wildlife. This designation dates from 1996. Its location in the middle of the river and its classification as riparian woodland combine the island character with the riverbank landscape of the lower Ter.
