Sant Esteve Sesrovires: Wine, Culture and Trails

Construction of the Església Parroquial in Sant Esteve Sesrovires began in 1889. The church was consecrated on 13 November 1891. As a new building, it replaced a church that dated back to the 17th century.

Culture

The design for this church was created by Josep Domènech i Estapà. Its architectural design combines Neo-Gothic and Neo-Romanesque elements. The stained-glass windows depict scenes from the lives of saints. Saint Stephen is depicted on the tympanum. The tympanum's bas-relief shows scenes from his martyrdom.

Since 1993, the Trobada de Puntaires has been held in Sant Esteve Sesrovires. The event brings together around 500 lacemakers from all over the country.
