La Floresta is home to the Casino de la Floresta, which was designed as a leisure and cultural centre. The urbanisation of La Floresta began in 1918 on the initiative of the building contractor Gaietà Tarruell. The development of La Floresta was supported by residents' demands for the construction of a stop for the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat. This local history connects the emergence of the urbanisation with a specific construction-related concern of the residents at that time.

Culture and History

The Font de Fumet is built into a mountainside and is located in a stone niche with a central outlet. Font de Fumet already existed as a spring before the urbanisation of La Floresta. The municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallès restored Font de Fumet in 2019. This site therefore brings together the older history of the spring, its visible design and a documented year of restoration.

The historic farmhouse Can Bosquets was first mentioned in the 11th century under the name Mas Felidia. It is located in the La Floresta area of the municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallès.
