Alcoroches – Ruta de los Oficios, Forests and Mountain Cuisine

The Barranco de la Hoz lies along the Ruta de los Oficios and is a popular place for walking, protected from the north wind and suitable for cold days. Southwest of Alcoroches, there are areas where juniper, creeping juniper, juniper shrubs, gorse, thyme and low-growing vegetation in general predominate. The remaining oak forest is concentrated around the Fuente de la Carrasca and its surroundings. The Fuente del Angosto is located approximately two kilometres from Alcoroches in a pine forest and is equipped with tables and other facilities for a day in nature. The presence of large mammals has increased significantly in the forests and fields of Alcoroches; these include deer, fallow deer and wild boar, which find shelter, cover and food there.
