The Museo Histórico de Abánades has existed since May 2010 and serves as an interpretation centre for the historic sites and the “Batalla Olvidada”. Most of the collection at the Museo Histórico de Abánades consists of objects donated by residents of the village and the comarca, relating to the period of the Civil War in Abánades.

Getting There and Visiting

Abánades can be reached via the A-2, exit 118, followed by the GU-928 road.

Visits to the Museo Histórico Municipal de Abánades must be arranged in advance.

At Posición El Castillo, some of the paths have been restored, making it possible to walk along the routes followed by the soldiers during the war.
