Puente Viesgo – Cave Art at Monte Castillo

Puente Viesgo combines a distinctive landscape along the Pas with Palaeolithic evidence in the El Castillo and Las Monedas caves. Monte Castillo is a cone-shaped limestone hill on the River Pas near Puente Viesgo. El Castillo Cave contains more than 275 Palaeolithic figures, and the Palaeolithic art there is at least 40,800 years old.
