Culture and History

The Palacio del Marqués de Albaicín is protected in Noja as a Bien de Interés Cultural in the Monumento category. The Casa-Palacio de Zilla is likewise protected as a Bien de Interés Cultural in the Monumento category.

The Casona de Assas in Noja, at Calle Los Pinares 30, is an example of 17th-century Baroque architecture. In the centre of its façade is a balcony typical of the 17th century, and the façade also features two coats of arms.

The Casa-Palacio de Venero was built in the 17th century and is characterised overall by a Baroque style. Its central balcony has a gabled finish and is flanked by coats of arms.

The Palacio de Albaicín serves as Noja’s Casa de Cultura. Music courses are held there in summer.
