At the Cantabrian Village in Cabezón de la Sal, characteristic elements of the Bronze and Iron Ages in Cantabria have been reconstructed for visitors. History

The Museo del Calabozo offers a short guided reconstruction of a prison cell by candlelight, featuring original historical pieces. Its dungeon served continuously as a remand centre or provisional prison until the time of the Spanish Civil War. The Museo del Calabozo is located in the Edificio de la Torre, whose origins date back to a late-medieval tower from at least the 15th century. The Museo del Arte Textil y Traje Regional displays more than 30 handcrafted traditional costumes that illustrate the region’s cultural diversity.
