Maliaño between Cultural Heritage and Punta Parayas

In Maliaño, the archaeological site of the Maliaño cemetery is protected as a Bien de Interés Cultural in the “archaeological zone” category. In Alto Maliaño lies the Roman-medieval archaeological site of the San Juan cemetery, which the municipality describes as significant local cultural heritage.
