Sierra de Ibio: Architectural History and Hiking

Sierra de Ibio lies at the foot of the mountain range that gives the town its name. Landscape and Hiking

The route to Alto de San Cipriano and Monte Ibio begins at Alto de San Cipriano; from Sierra de Ibio, this starting point is reached via the CA-283 local road. The Ruta al Alto de San Cipriano–Monte Ibio is 6 km long one way and takes an average of two hours.

It passes through a coniferous forest in which pine is the predominant tree species. From the 798-metre-high Pico de Ibio, suitable conditions provide views of Saja-Besaya Nature Park and the municipalities on its northern and southern slopes. Stating the one-way distance and average duration provides a concrete estimate for planning the time required.
