The Coastal Way, Camino de Santiago de la Costa, passes through the whole of Camplengo and continues towards Santillana del Mar. The section of this route passing through Camplengo is used for pilgrimages as well as cultural, leisure and recreational activities.

The municipal programme of guided hikes was usually offered during the summer season and included six routes passing through Camplengo. The six documented municipal hiking routes ranged from 5 to 15 km and lasted between 1 hour 45 minutes and 4 hours.

The guided hiking trails were intended for all groups and were described as not particularly difficult. Among Camplengo’s notable buildings is the Ermita de San Cipriano y San Cornelio. It dates from the 17th century. At the same time, it appears to be a reconstruction of an earlier pre-Romanesque building.

The programme of the Fiestas de San Cipriano in Camplengo included a traditional baile del botijo.

As part of a municipal visitor signage project, an information totem was installed at the entrance to Camplengo. The information totem contains information about the local features, the location on the map and the most important places of interest in the town.

In the immediate vicinity of Camplengo are Playa de Santa Justa beach, Cuevas de Altamira cave and Altamira cave. In the surroundings of Camplengo are Palacio De Los Gómez De La Torre palace, Casa Torre De Hoyos palace and Playa de Valdearnas beach. In the wider regional surroundings of Camplengo are Cueva del Castillo ancient site and Cueva Las Monedas ancient site.
