Holiday Apartment in S'Algar: Rocky Coast and Water Sports in Menorca

S'Algar is located on a headland on the southern coast of Menorca. The resort combines a rocky coastline with a bathing area and a palm-lined seafront promenade. At S'Algar's bathing area, the promenade runs directly along the water; the area is 80 metres long and 22 metres wide. Along the rocky coast, there are concrete platforms with sun loungers for sunbathing and swimming in the clear water. The upper cave on the coast is also one of the distinctive landscape features: it leads to the surface through a wide shaft.

Water sports

On the water, the range of activities extends from introductory experiences to courses for advanced divers. S'Algar Diving offers introductory dives as well as PADI courses from Scuba Diver to Divemaster, and also TDI courses for experienced divers. The programme is complemented by two-hour boat trips for snorkelling and exploring marine flora and fauna; masks, snorkels and fins are provided for this purpose.

S'Algar Diving is located in the middle of the Illa de l'Aire marine reserve. Boat trips to coastal coves and stretches of coastline that are partly accessible only from the sea are also offered from there. Numerous water sports activities are possible along the coast of S'Algar. From S'Algar, it is also possible to take a trip to the nearby Cala Rafalet.

Nature and history

The Illa de l'Aire marine reserve protects archaeological treasures, shipwrecks and ancient anchors underwater. In this marine environment, nature and maritime history therefore exist side by side: the underwater world is not only a setting for diving and snorkelling, but also preserves traces of seafaring from the past. Getting there

Access to the S'Algar residential area is via Sant Lluís and the La Pau roundabout; from there, signs point to the beaches in the south. For the road to S'Algar from the access road to Es Pinaret, a combined cycle and pedestrian path as well as new asphalt surfacing were certified as construction projects with an amount of €119,799.99.
