Menorca showcases a prehistoric side of the island through the Talayotic Menorca World Heritage Site. The World Heritage Site was inscribed in 2023. Its archaeological structures date from the Bronze Age, around 1600 BC, to the Late Iron Age, around 123 BC. The World Heritage Site includes hypogea, talayots, taula enclosures, navetas, round houses and hypostyles.

Culture and history
Individual remains bring this extensive period of history to life: the Taula of Torralba d'en Salort is the best-preserved taula in Menorca, while the monumental central T at Talatí de Dalt remains intact. The Naveta dels Tudons is Menorca's most visited prehistoric monument.
The Museo Bastió de Sa Font houses a permanent exhibition explaining the ways of life, customs and cultural heritage of the municipality of Ciutadella up to the Islamic period. The Museo Menorca offers a tour through the island's history using numerous archaeological and artistic pieces; visitors can also see a 17th- and 18th-century convent with a remarkable Baroque courtyard.
The area around Menorca also includes the Centre de Geologia de Menorca and the Museo Binissues, both museums, as well as Torre d'en Galmés, an ancient site. The Museu Municipal de Ciutadella currently has a semi-permanent exhibition on some of the rituals and burial practices carried out in Menorca over the course of its history.
Coast and landscape
Cala Pilar has a dune system and a forest behind the beach. Faro Cap de Favàritx is Menorca's most modern lighthouse and was inaugurated on 24 September 1922. Cap de Favàritx is a rocky headland made of black slate with small plants, including several endemic species.
Playa Santo Tomás is a beach in the area around Menorca. Playa Talis, Platja de Binigaus and Cala Tirant are also beaches in the same area.
Routes and viewpoints
The Camí de Cavalls is one of the best ways to experience Menorca in all its variety. Punta d'Atàlitx is a viewpoint in the area around Menorca. The cliffs of Cala Morell contain an important Talayotic necropolis; a Bronze Age coastal settlement is also located near Cala Morell.
Cala D'es Tamarells can be reached via an approximately 2 km excursion from Es Grau beach along a coastal section of the Camí de Cavalls. Weighing up museums, beaches, viewpoints, archaeological sites and coastal paths against one another makes it easier to organise days and areas of interest clearly, without assigning equal importance to every experience.
