Sant Josep, the patron saint of S'Alqueria Blanca, is celebrated on 19 March with religious and social events. Sant Roc is another recurring occasion: the festival is celebrated on 16 August with several days of cultural and social events. Both dates give an impression of how religious tradition and community activities come together in the village calendar.

The Festes de Sant Roc 2025 were scheduled to run from 3 to 17 August and were designed for residents and visitors of all ages. Market days in S'Alqueria Blanca and Santanyí

The market in S'Alqueria Blanca is held on Tuesday mornings and mainly sells fruit and vegetables. Check locally before you arrive to confirm the market day. In the wider destination of Santanyí, the market takes place all year round on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Local produce, clothing and handicrafts are sold in Plaça Major and the surrounding streets. Local products include sobrassada, oil and wine.

The two market days differ both in terms of the day of the week and their focus: in S'Alqueria Blanca, the emphasis is on selling fruit and vegetables, while the market in Santanyí also includes clothing and handicrafts. Oratory and cultural heritage

S'Alqueria Blanca lies at the foot of the oratory of La Mare de Déu de la Consolació. The oratory is five kilometres from Santanyí, in the direction of Cala d'Or and Portopetro. Pou del Rei is also nearby: it is an important and well-preserved part of the cultural heritage of the municipality of Santanyí, on the path from S'Alqueria Blanca to Puig de Consolació.

For more architectural and historical highlights, it is worth exploring Santanyí. The parish church of Sant Andreu stands next to the town hall in Plaça Major and is one of the square's two main buildings. It was built from Santanyí stone; construction began on 25 July 1786 and lasted 25 years. Its features include a monumental Baroque organ from the Dominican convent in Palma.

El Roser is the former parish church of Santanyí. It was built in the first half of the 14th century in a transitional style between Romanesque and Gothic. During pirate raids, it regularly served as a refuge for the local population and was therefore fortified. La Porta Murada also tells part of the town's history: the gate tower belongs to Santanyí's 16th-century defensive walls. Santanyí's narrow streets are also home to several art galleries and artists' studios.

The calendar of events in the wider destination of Santanyí also offers a range of occasions. The Sant Antoni festival takes place on 17 January; traditional bonfires and barbecues are held on the eve, and animals are blessed. The Fira de Santanyí is scheduled for the third Saturday in October and has an agricultural, craft and industrial character. The patron saint's festival of Sant Andreu is celebrated with a solemn mass on 30 November; numerous social and cultural activities take place during the festival week.
