For further orientation, you can also find Lugones, Siero and Viella here.

Nature

The route from Colloto to the FEVE bridge runs along the left bank of the Nora through stands of alder and willow. Mallards can be observed among these stands; the route ends at the FEVE bridge in Granda.

The Lugones–Parque Principado trail follows the river upstream along the right bank of the Nora through riparian vegetation consisting of willows, ash trees and alders. Mallards and moorhens can be observed there. The municipality of Siero lists this trail in its directory in connection with Granda and Lugones.

Routes

The Camino de Santiago route to Granda crosses the road to Tiñana (SI-6) and the railway line, passes through El Campo and reaches Granda.

The 6.2 km Granda–Oviedo stage initially runs between the church of San Pedro de Granda and the cemetery, then continues towards El Llugarín and the industrial estate before reaching the N-634.

A stage of the Costa–Primitivo route from La Pola Siero to Oviedo passes through Granda between the parish church and the cemetery.

The official cycle tourism route from Oviedo to Cangas de Onís crosses Colloto and the railway lines before following the Nora riverside path to Granda.

Culture

The parish church of San Pedro is Granda’s parish church. It features Romanesque elements and a basilica-style floor plan, along with two small side aisles and a chancel ending in a semicircular apse.

As the Iglesia Parroquial de San Pedro de Granda, it is listed in the Inventory of Asturias’ Cultural Heritage under the identifier IPCA-EI-66-15.

The trail begins at Colloto’s “Roman bridge”, a civil engineering structure probably founded during Roman times.

Tours of the Central Lechera Asturiana facilities have been suspended until further notice due to improvement works at the facilities.

Food and drink

The Sidra Corzo cider house is complemented by the Bar Casa Corzo inn. It has a large picnic area where house cider and traditional Asturian cuisine can be sampled.

At Sidra Corzo, espichas are organised after prior contact with the people responsible.

The Sidra Corzo cider house was designed and built around 1889 by Adolfo Corzo Fernández. What began as domestic production for personal consumption developed into a business with a distinctly industrial character.
