Cazamular: Trails, Viewpoints and Asturian Cuisine

The Ruta de senderismo playa de La Ñora hiking trail begins in Los Pisones and leads via Friuz, Cazamular and La Corolla to Playa de La Ñora. It is 6.3 kilometres long and takes approximately one and a half hours one way. There are 24 wooden signposts along the route. On its course, it passes through the municipalities of Gijón and Villaviciosa before reaching Playa de La Ñora. This route can also be travelled by mountain bike. You can plan your day not only around the destination, but also around the time, route and mode of transport.

Coast

At Playa de La Ñora, the river flows into the Cantabrian Sea. A footpath leads up to a viewpoint above the cliffs. From the Mirador de los Gemelos, you can see the coast, the rugged cliffs of Rovigo, the Dique Torres, Cabo Peñas and the Cantabrian Sea. Trails

A second hiking route is called Cazamular–Mirador de los Gemelos–Pisones. It is 7.54 kilometres long and runs one way. After 3.1 kilometres, this route passes the Mirador de los Gemelos. In addition to using a mountain bike, you can use the different route lengths and directions as objective points of comparison when planning your day. If you plan exercise and scenery together, you can distinguish between a route with an approximate walking time and a one-way route. History

The church of San Clemente de Quintueles is documented in an inventory of the Diocese of Oviedo from the late 14th century. The original church of San Clemente de Quintueles was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. A mill was used for grinding grain and for generating electricity to supply the house. Getting there

To travel to Quintueles from Gijón, take the A-8 towards Santander, exit 378, then continue via the N-632 and the VV-I towards Playa de La Ñora. This sequence of motorway, exit and the two subsequent roads can be followed in this order when planning your own route.
