The Camino de Santiago runs along the main street of Campomanes. The 14th stage of the Camino de Santiago from Campomanes to Pola de Lena is 6 km long. The historic route includes the old bridge in Campomanes, over which the Camino de Santiago crossed the Huerna River. Between Campomanes and Pola de Lena, the Camino de Santiago route follows the AS-242, the old road to Castile shaped by Jovellanos. Stage 13 of the GR109 Asturias Interior begins in Campomanes and leads to the rural hamlet of Chanuces; its difficulty level is high.

You can consider routes, structures, festivals and cycling separately when weighing different priorities for your travel planning. The various stage profiles can be compared side by side without anticipating a particular order.

Mountain routes

Stage 12 of the GR109 Asturias Interior can be ridden by mountain bike and has a high difficulty level. For approximately 3 km, this stage follows the Roman road of La Carisa. Stage 12 ends in Campomanes, where the sign marking the end of the stage is located at the start of the stage.

The cycling route from Campomanes to Alto de La Cubilla begins in Campomanes and ends at Alto de La Cubilla in Las Ubiñas–La Mesa Nature Park. The road to Alto de La Cubilla may be closed in winter due to snow. Length, means of transport and difficulty level provide different points of comparison for personal planning.

Culture

The Capilla del Santo Cristo in Campomanes is associated with a former pilgrim hospital. The Palacio de Revillagigedo in Campomanes preserves one of its towers near the Roman bridge. The Campomanes bridge is considered a Roman bridge, but it may actually be La Ponte de Briendes; the latter is mentioned in the Carta Puebla de Campomanes from 1247.

La Casona de los Llanes-Campomanes is listed as a civil heritage monument of local interest and is partially preserved. Campomanes railway station is included among the listed stations in the heritage inventory of the century-old Pajares railway line. With the structures, you can compare names, forms and traditional associations side by side.

Festivals

On Easter Sunday during Holy Week, the Santu-Encuentru festival is celebrated in Campomanes. The traditional Amagüestu takes place in Campomanes on the Saturday after the La Pola festival. Fixed dates can be weighed separately in the planning from the location-specific route and cultural topics; the travel period and thematic focus remain separate decisions.
