Routes
The tenth stage of the Coastal Way leads from Viḷḷamouros to Outur and is 19.7 km long. Between Barcia and Luarca, it passes through Almuña; from Barcia, the route continues to Almuña, where the hostel is located.
Another route, “Aristébano, en busca de El Dorado,” begins in the village of Almuña and takes approximately two days. The two routes provide different ways of specifying their duration. For the Coastal Way, the fixed length of 19.7 km is the focus; for “Aristébano, en busca de El Dorado,” the duration is given only approximately as two days. This provides two distinct planning references: a specifically stated stage length and an approximately stated route duration. The two details describe the routes in different ways and should therefore be considered separately.
The sequence of places also distinguishes the two routes in terms of their geographical layout. On the Coastal Way, Viḷḷamouros and Outur are the endpoints of the tenth stage, while Barcia and Luarca name the section through which the route passes in Almuña. “Aristébano, en busca de El Dorado,” on the other hand, begins directly in Almuña. When reading the information, the relevant combination of location reference and time measure is therefore decisive.

Culture
The Festival de la Hierba Seca y el Trigo is organized as a festive and cultural event to preserve and pass on traditional agricultural occupations. The eighth edition of the Festival de la Hierba Seca y el Trigo de Almuña was scheduled to take place on July 18, 2026, in the La Montserrata field. Demonstrations of mowing and threshing wheat, processions with ox carts and folklore were planned for the festival on that date. The event therefore combines the presentation of traditional agricultural occupations with a specific date and a named venue. Alongside its cultural purpose, the date and planned program give the festival a clearly defined temporal and geographical framework.
