Coast and Nature
Native dune plants, including the protected sea lily, grow along the Torre de Benagalbón Ecological Promenade. The almost one-kilometre-long coastal path runs through Los Rubios beach and forms part of Stage 1 of the Gran Senda de Málaga. You can compare different route lengths for your own day planning.
The first construction phase of Parque del Mediterráneo was opened in Torre de Benagalbón; the new green space currently offers more than 30,000 square metres of recreational area. Culture and History
The Roman villa associated with Torre de Benagalbón included facilities for salting fish and producing garum. Villa Antiopa has been recognised as a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) since 2008, displays mosaics in the interior rooms and on the exterior porch, and can be visited.
The Torre de Benagalbón watchtower stands on a small promontory in the town of Torre de Benagalbón. A chimney is still visible inside, and some of the coating has also been preserved on the watchtower.
The Villa Antíopa museographic collection is intended to be housed in a new building at Avenida de la Torre 49 in Torre de Benagalbón, in the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria.
Festivals and Dates
The Feria de Torre de Benagalbón programme includes a traditional communal paella. The Feria took place from 1 to 3 August in 2025 and from 31 July to 2 August in 2026. During the Feria, a Día del Niño with reduced prices for the rides was held on 30 and 31 July in 2025 and on 29 and 30 July in 2026.
The annual celebration of San Juan in Torre de Benagalbón includes the traditional burning of a Júa at midnight. During this celebration, the Asociación de Vecinos Torresol distributes sardine skewers.
The XIV Festival de Títeres de Rincón de la Victoria offered free performances for families in Torre de Benagalbón.
