The church of Tocón preserves architectural elements from the early years of the 16th century and has a strongly pronounced Mudéjar character. This is where the cultural exploration of Tocón begins: with a building whose historical character remains visible in the architecture itself.

Culture

The Torre de Clementino is integrated into a private house on Calle de la Torre in Tocón. Its ground floor was formerly a cistern. The tower has a terrace with a surrounding parapet and is approximately 12 metres high. The combination of its former use, architectural form and present-day surroundings makes it an independent detail within the townscape, without its history having to be reduced to a single era.

The church has a rectangular floor plan with smooth walls, no chapels and a low-set Alfarje ceiling. A crucifix carved in 1771 by the sculptor Diego Sanchez Saravia is currently located at the centre of the new altarpiece.
