Events

Every year on the second weekend in October, the market settlement of Podsreda hosts the Kozjansko Apple Festival. Every year, the festival includes an exhibition of old apple varieties. At Podsreda Castle, the Summer of Music offers music seminars led by internationally renowned musicians. The seminars are aimed at beginners, pupils in the lower and upper levels of music school, and students.

Another event is the FesDivjal Wild Herb Festival, which will take place again from 5 to 6 September 2026 in Podsreda, in the heart of Kozjanski Park. The festival offers practical workshops on gathering edible wild plants, herbalism, mushroom foraging, fermentation, natural cuisine, nature-friendly construction, sustainable agriculture and ecological practices. It also includes the revival of traditional crafts and skills, including blacksmithing, basket weaving and wool spinning.
