Žejno reveals its tangible character especially where trails, viewpoints and cultural traditions come together. At the Church of St. Vitus, the Brežiška planinska pot reaches a viewpoint at an elevation of 386 metres. The route also leads down to Žejno along a forest path and then continues to Sobenje. The Brežiška planinska pot runs mainly along paths and cart tracks, but also partly along roads. Its route therefore alternates between different surfaces and sections. However, on the day of the organised barefoot hiking event, held on the last Sunday in August, a parking space is available to hikers.

Culture

The Ljudske pevke Žejno name the preservation of folk songs and cultural heritage as their mission. Alongside the trails, this places a musical tradition at the centre—one that is directly connected with Žejno. The Ljudske pevke Žejno were announced to perform at the event “Napev – odsev 2024”, dedicated to preserving musical heritage.

On the occasion of their 20th anniversary, the Ljudske pevke Žejno also invited people to a concert.

Nature

The Brežiška planinska pot offers views of the fields between Sobenje, Globočice, Mrzla vas and Žejno, as well as nearby vineyards. Jama na Grohotih is 62 metres long and 14 metres deep.

Another distinctive local feature in Žejno is Villa Les. It has a wine cellar, a bread oven and a hayrack.
